Course 4 will be an absolute highlight of the BSA year and will culminate in the young Academy musicians playing alongside its parent orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, in a mainstage evening concert, John Adams at 70 in the Barbican Hall.
In addition to rehearsing Philip Glass’s Music in Similar Motion for this performance, the orchestra will also delve into some great Steve Reich including a brand new commission Pulse premiered earlier this year by Britten Sinfonia. BSA is only the second ensemble ever to have played this work.
