The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge has a fascinating and wide-ranging collection of paintings, antiques and even music. In Course 3, Britten Sinfonia Academy’s young composers worked on new pieces inspired by items from the gallery’s collection, and have been working with Academy musicians to programme short pop up concerts. These new works will be premiered in four pop-up performances in different galleries across the museum, with Britten Sinfonia Academy introducing and performing them in chamber groups.
These performances are free and will take place throughout the Fitzwilliam Museum’s galleries from 3pm-5pm.
