Composer Brett Dean started his musical career as a viola player and was a member of the Berlin Philharmonic from 1985-99. In this At Lunch concert we hear the premiere of his new work commissioned by Britten Sinfonia and Wigmore Hall with Brett himself performing. Completing the programmeis Schoenberg’s revolutionary and expressive 2nd string quartet and George Tintner’s rarely heard Ellipse.
