No one has done more to enhance the image of the harpsichord in recent years than the Iranian-American virtuoso Mahan Esfahani who has captivated audiences with his fiery and engaging performances. In this concert he performs, and directs Britten Sinfonia, in a programme peppered with Mediterranean flavour including one of De Falla’s most popular ballet scores featuring the stunning Ritual Fire Dance.
