Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings interspersed with songs and music inspired by night time, composed by young people from the Wymondham area.
A performance by Britten Sinfonia and children from Wymondham schools. During April, children from the Wymondham schools cluster spent time working with professional musicians from Britten Sinfonia to compose their own new song-cycle, inspired by Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings. At our hour-long concert, hear the children perform their new Serenade, interspersed with Britten’s own work, featuring tenor Robin Tritschler, accompanied by Britten Sinfonia.
This project is funded by South Norfolk Council, in partnership with Orchestras Live.
There are two performances, one at 6pm and one at 8pm.
