To mark our first 30 years and to build a strong platform for our ambitious range of projects for the coming seasons, we have launched our 30th birthday campaign, aiming to raise £200,000 over our birthday year, from July 2022 to July 2023.
You can choose to support our core costs that underpin all our programmes, or you can direct your support to one of our four C’s that will form the foundations of our projects over the coming seasons: Core costs, Collaborations, Commissions or Communities.
YOU CAN DONATE VIA THE LINK BELOW, OR SCROLL DOWN TO FIND OUT MORE.
The donation link gives you the option to make a one-off gift or to set up a recurring annual gift.
If you would like to talk to us about tailored support, or speak in more detail about the campaign, get in touch.
“Music-making with Britten Sinfonia is neither ‘period’, nor ‘modern’, nor anything really definable; rather, like all good music, it’s timeless.”
Mahan Esfahani, Harpsichord
By directing your gift to collaborations, you will be supporting our headline concert programme. All our concerts are collaborations with wonderful guest artists, conductors, or with Britten Sinfonia’s incredible players.
Collaborations are characteristically varied, as we work across a great range of genres; dance, opera, digital, film, jazz, electronic, to name just a few.
In a typical year we commission and perform around ten new works. We commission established and internationally recognised composers as well as emerging, exciting new talent who we showcase, support and develop.
New pieces are heading our way in 2023 from Joseph Tawadros, Lisa Illean, Mathilde Wantenaar, Joseph Phibbs and Huw Watkins.
Communities are becoming increasingly important to how we run our Creative Learning and ‘local’ programmes. Our new flagship Music on Your Doorstep programme takes Britten Sinfonia to new audiences of all ages in small market towns in the east of England. Communities also includes our programmes in primary schools, hospital settings, prisons, and with people living with dementia.
Britten Sinfonia is registered with the Fundraising Regulator, and supports their code of being legal, open, honest and respectful in all our fundraising practices.
