MUSIC IN HOSPITALS
“It’s so soothing. Really calming.”
We believe that music can have a positive impact on people’s wellbeing, whether by creating a moment of calm, lifting someone’s mood, or opening up space for conversation and friendship.
We have developed a brilliant partnership with Cambridge University Hospitals and their Arts Team, working to bring participatory music experiences to people within the hospital community.
Our musicians visit Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge regularly, offering music and friendly interaction to patients, staff, and visitors, on the wards and in other hospital spaces.
We want to develop this work to reach more people, in more meaningful ways, and have recently completed a residency within the hospital earlier this year, creating music for and with people in healthcare settings.
