VACANCIES
Britten Sinfonia has a small, busy and friendly administration team which runs an ambitious programme of concerts and learning and participation projects. The programme is underpinned by the work of team members in fundraising, marketing and finance.
Volunteer stewards
We are looking for volunteer stewards to support us at our events in Cambridge, on an event-by-event basis. Stewards would support the Britten Sinfonia box office team by welcoming audience members at the door, directing them to their seats, and assisting in selling books and CDs. Stewards also join safety briefings and, in the unlikely event of an emergency (such as a fire), would help evacuate the audience.
This role is in a volunteer capacity, but stewards are welcome to sit in and watch concerts that they are assisting with. In addition for each concert at which you volunteer, we will offer you two free tickets to a concert in Cambridge or Saffron Walden where you will not be expected to steward.
Upcoming concerts needing stewards:
Tim Garland's Lighthouse Trio and Britten Sinfonia | 20 November 7pm, West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge. See event details here.
The Robot and The Bluebird (schools’ concerts) | Monday 25 November 10:30am & 13:30pm, West Road Concert Hall. Wednesday 27 November 10:30am & 13:30pm, St Peter Mancroft, Norwich.
Please email support@brittensinfonia.com if you would like to be added to our list of stewards.
